Tourism in Singapore is a major industry and contributor to the Singaporean economy, attracting 16,402,593 international tourists in 2016, over thrice of Singapore's total population.
It is also environmentally friendly, and maintains natural and heritage conservation programs. Along with this, it also has one of the world's lowest crime rates.
The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015 ranks Singapore 11th out of 141 countries overall, which was the second best in Asia only behind Japan.
